neighborhood party

I realized this flyer to promote a community-building party in a peripheral neighborhood lacking public gathering spaces. Born from a bunch of parents outside the local school, the initiative aimed to strengthen social ties and spark collective action.

The event was a success: a sunny day picnic at the school courtyard where residents of all ages shared ideas, music, laughter, and energy for their community.

Colorful illustration promoting a neighborhood community party. Shows diverse residents dancing, playing music, skating, and meet each-other around a circular plaza. Includes kids, pets, guitars, yoga, coffee, UFO, and Godzilla motifs in bright overlapping primary colors

The artwork centers on an empty circular space (a sort of missing town square) surrounded by a bustling, kaleidoscopic urban scene. I chose overlapping bright primary colors that expand into a vivid secondary palette, it radiates contagious energy. Funny details – from everyday activities to park life, sports and hobbies – invite viewers to take their place in this lively community.

The core illustration was strategically split into multiple standalone scenes. These versatile elements can be seamlessly adapted across formats (from printed materials to website decor and engaging social media content) all while preserving a cohesive visual identity.
